Tula Baby Infant Insert Instructions

Updated: May 15, 2018

INFANT INSERT INSTRUCTIONS

The Infant Insert is required in order to use the Standard Carrier from 7 - 15 pounds. The Infant Insert is required until your baby can sit in the carrier with their knees dangling down freely in an ergonomic spread squat position, has adequate neck control, and is a minimum of 15 pounds. The Infant Insert includes an integrated harness which secures your baby to the insert. As your child grows and builds more core strength, the detachable "seat" cushion of the insert can be used on its own inside your Tula Baby Carrier. This option is ideal for a child who has already developed head and neck control but still requires the smaller "seat" that the infant insert cushion provides to avoid being over extended in the carrier. Some children may meet our minimum weight requirement for the Tula Baby Carrier but still need the higher, more narrow seat cushion and the core support that the infant insert offers. For more information on carrying your newborn, read Baby Tula's blog post on newborn babywearing.

The Baby Tula Infant Insert should only be used with the baby-sized/standard carrier, and is not suitable for use with the Toddler Ergonomic Carrier or Free-to-Grow Carrier.
